is very much alive!25% of us speak it,and it is on the increase big time.I am fluent in Welsh and English.Also i think Wales should be indipendant,vote plaid!Rydw in meddwl dyled Cymru fod yn annibyniol ac hefyd rhydd or Saeson.Ni ywr goreuon yr byd yma,ac yn anwedig rygbi.

yes!!!! it is your right to get independent from UK, you have your own language, culture and customs, so you can star voting for it….

I think Welsh is a beautiful language. I can’t speak it but I can read some of the place-name signs! You’d have to really think long and hard about independence, it might not be any paradise in the long run.
But anyway, it is really time to try and bury old feuds that have lingered for hundreds of years. We are not really so very different. Genetically it has recently been proved that for the most part the English are NOT very different from the Welsh–only 5 percent of the English came from ‘Saxons’ and the rest share the same mitochondrial DNA as the Welsh,Scots and Irish–that of the hunter gatherers and neolithic farmers who came here between 5 and 10 thousand years ago…
yes english people do know it exists, but does anyone else in the World? I am afraid your attitude makes me agree with lots of other people on here, did Anne Robinson get it right ??
