First, mad props for wanting to learn Welsh. I studied Irish for a while, and Celtic languages really are very difficult. Not only are the languages themselves not easy, but learning materials are far and few between. I’m all for getting as much material for free as possible, and I came across the following: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/learnwelsh/ They have programs in various languages, including Welsh, as it turns out. http://www.learnwelsh.org/ http://www.cs.cf.ac.uk/fun/welsh/ http://www.saysomethinginwelsh.com/home/ http://www.101languages.net/welsh/
I’d definitely check around for podcasts or news programs. Even if they aren’t really instructional, they’d still give you an opportunity to hear it. Read as much as you can from Wikipedia; they might have some grammar articles or something, especially on Wiktionary; also check Wikitravel for a phrasebook. Berlitz travel phrasebooks are great; they might not have one in Welsh. Pimsleur doesn’t have a Welsh program either, but check your library or bookstore for other materials. Just go and read. Don’t waste money. There’s got to be a podcast or youtube website as well with some instruction. Best of luck!
