Is Welsh a difficult Language to Learn?

It’s fairly easy to learn as the letters are more or less pronounced the same each time….unlike in English…eg….Th…thin and then. Mutations are quite difficult to master but you don’t have to get them completely correct to be understood.
It is more commonly used nowadays that at any time since the end of the 19th century…here in this part of Gwynedd 80%+ speak it as their first language. 21% of the people of Wales can speak Welsh.

Here in Gwynedd, the council conducts ALL it’s business in Welsh (with translation facilities available for non-Welsh people). In schools, even subject like Maths, Chemistry, Geography, Physics etc are taught through the medium of Welsh.
Areas nearer the English border tend to be more Anglicised.
Welsh is an easy language to learn as the words are pronounced as they look!
But it’s not very popular now.
