I'm British, I was born and raised in Wales (but I have an english accent) I now live in USA and I go to middle school, every girl in school thinks that my British accent is sexy, and they love it when I speak Welsh.
Why do American girls love British accents?
Next year I'm going to High School, so I'm scared what will happen there?
(I don't want a relationship, so how do I tell these girls to back off?)
By the way, I'm not actually english and I don'n have a cockney accent and say ''ello guvna'' I don't think anybody's said that in Britain for like 200 years.
Problem is I've been out with loads of the girls already and they're not my type, the only girl that I want doesn't really notice me!! But every other girl does! God must hate me sooo much!!! Lol

im an irish-american who almost studied irish. at that point i found out that most irish people hate their language. after telling this to my friends, they all said, "irish and english people are the same god damn thing, they speak the same language", to which i protested, but i admit they had a point. "a people without their own language arent a people at all", some author, icant remember. at least the welsh have kept their language.

I have been reading a thread on a forum I visit where more than one English person has visited America and been treated with surprise by someone that they speak such good english.
I know there's a lot of confusion over the whole English/British/UK issue and god knows what language they imagine the Scots, Welsh or Northern Irish speak but this is just mind boggling
(I do appreciate that the vast majority of American's realise that people from the UK speak english)
btw I apologise for the apostrophe *slaps head*
No really, it was a thread called daft statements and at least 2 people have said that it's happened to them.

I have already mastered rolling around on the floor chanting and making up words but God never responds. I am obviously not doing it right and need to learn to speak proper tongue. I cannot find a tongue grammar primer and dictionary? I tried Amazon but had no joy.
I happen be Welsh and have a Welsh dictionary. Can I use that?

My family crest has the words "heb dduw, heb ddim, duw a digon" written on it. It is Welsh and it means "Without God, Without anything. God and Enough." It does not seem to make any sense to me. Can anybody explain what this means?

I'm writing an article about the Welsh band the Super Furry Animals. Does anyone know the welsh translation for "Thank God for the Super Furry Animals."
Thank you,
