She always goes around insisting that she's Welsh at every turn. I don't really follow what she's doing yet I've heard her bring up being Welsh at least 4 times! She's half Irish half Welsh or she claims anyway, but Zeta is Greek so why doesn't she acknowledge that - I think I read Zeta comes from her grandfather. Her features are too full to be just Irish and Welsh - she looks spanish or maybe even half black to me. How many white people have the name Jones? What do you think, why is she always talking about being Welsh if she doesn't have something to hide? Especially when she was doing Zorro and ppl thought she was Hispanic, she got really haughty about it.

So I've been doing a little bit of eventing and a lot of show jumping. I've been riding for 13 years, english for about 7 or 8. I'm starting to get a little big for my current pony/horse a 14.2 arab/welsh, Juliet. I was talking to the barn owner where we board and I said that I was thinking of selling Juliet. She's been looking for a horse for her grand daughter and she loves Juliet but she also said one of her friends has a gorgeous gray fox hunter gelding, who knew a bit of dressage and would jump anything you put in front of him and that since she was good friends with the girl she could probably talk her into giving us a good deal. So I was wondering what you guys would think of this deal?And what fox hunting is like? We'd probably lease the gelding for a month or two to see if I like fox hunting and I like the horse but I just kinda want an idea of what it's like to compete, I go and watch them all the time. If you guys need a little more info just tell me, I'll post.

Kiwix. I think you get the image straight out of black beauty. Here they only do scent drags and believe me the people here aren't going to risk hurting their horse.
Hunter/jumper they don't actually kill the foxes if they even use a real one. Once the fox goes underground the riders call it a day or go find another one to chase. I can promise it is not like Black Beauty I was at one a few weeks ago.
If I get the horse it will be doing chases (prexplained where once the fox goes under the riders call it a day). I've watched them, I just wanted to know what it's like to actually compete in them.
Or just the scent drags. I live in northern VA we have tons of drags and chases. The fox dosen't actually ever get hurt. Promise.

I'm a proud American. I also want to find ways to celebrate my Welsh heritage. Any ideas? Popular holidays? Foods? Clothing/items that most Welsh people have? I am considering hanging a small flag of Wales in my room or have a little flag hanging from my rear-view mirror haha. Just things like that. I have learned a little Welsh from some online videos, but I'd just like a little bit more to be able to feel my Welsh ancestry. Please give me some ideas if you can!

I found a book on Llewllyn the Great that mentions a little bit about Merlin and a couple of other druids, but I need more! Thanks in advance!

I am moving to Wales soon and i would like to be able to speak a little bit of welsh and to be able to read it.

Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to learn it and is it easy to learn. I speak french and little bit of spanish so i pick up languages quite well but i dont know anything about the welsh language. Please help?!!!
