The Celtic languages are . Irish, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic. Manx. Cornish and Breton.
I speak Welsh it's my first language native language, I have a cupla folca in Irish, i am a beginner at Cornish but i can understand Cornish fluently when spoken due to it's similarity to Welsh
I am fully fluent in German, Welsh, English and Afrikaans, Can get by quite well with Spanish and Dutch also with cornish.
How come you are fluent i 7 languages before your own that makes no sense to me what so ever?
Ble mae dy barch am dy iaith? Where's your respect for your language?

I am sick of being sent messages by Yahoo saying i have violated the sites rules by posting in my native mother tongue or simply asking a question in Welsh. I fought it was called Yahoo Uk and Ireland?. If so why is Irish breaking the Rules as well. How come speaking in my own language is breaking rules?. The ballad of the W.N all over again.
It's against mine and your human rights to be denied the opportunity to communicate and use your own and native language or any language in which you wish to use.
How can we change this because i don't know about you lot but i am not prepared to stand and be discriminated against for using my chosen language. They are racist fascist bigots.
If Quebec can have a French language page why can't we have 1 of our own a welsh one an Irish one and so forth?.

Hi, I'm a yank, and an ignorant one at that. In my travels abroad, I've met plenty of Irish, Scots, and more than enough Englishmen. My dad is descended from Welsh immigrants. I've only heard they're "sheep shaggers" but then the English say that about everyone. And I know Tom Jones was from Wales (I think). So tell me, is Wales a great place? What are some uniquely Welsh characteristics? Do people still speak the native language?

Do more speak welsh than speak Irish Gaelic?
Are there more second language welsh speakers than second language Irish Gaelic speakers?
Do more speak Irish as a native language than speak welsh as a native language ?
And so on .
The North isn't more welsh speaking than the south . Wales is more linguistically divided by west to east. The West is more welsh speaking than the east. But there is a welsh speaker in every village in Wales.
Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire are both in the south and so is northern Swansea, Northern Pembrokeshire, Western Neath and portal bot and Powys all these places are more welsh speaking than English.
You have to be fluent in welsh to teach and primary basis yes. And yes every university in wales has an "Adran Gymraeg" where all courses are through the medium of welsh, In ireland im rold it's only irish that can be studied not other subjects through that medium. Also how come the irish on Roadsigns is italica and seems assif it is not as important as english?
Also Ireland only has one county where over half the population speak's irish on a daily basis welsh has 4 . with larger populations in all.
No no, I am so sorry if it's coming across like that!
I have great respect for the Irish and their language. I am so sorry. I am doing Celtic Language studies and am just trying to compare. I am not trying in anyway to make Welsh superior. We welsh aren't like that and i certainly don't want you to think that. I am really sorry.
