It’s a language and almost 1000 years older than english if not older

in my language we say Cymru for wales and Cymraeg for Welsh.

What does this mean?

When I woke up this morning, I could speak fluent welsh, even though I have never even heard anyone speak it before. What the hell happened? – to prove my point, I will ask the same question in welsh.
