Yey ian. I am not very good with English phonetics as i am welsh and i pronunce it naturally the Welsh way but i have fought of equivilent English words and yey and the name Ian combined create the sound
The welsh name is not pronounced Ewan or Iwan or yewun.
U is not pronounced like the English w or oo. It’s pronounced as the welsh I or the English E.
ewen ewan
I would pronounce it like Ewan (YOU-wen).
Gender: Boy Origin: Hebrew Meaning: God is gracious
Origin: Welsh Meaning: God is gracious
Pronunciation: (YIGH yan) [Guide]
Form of: John
its usually pronounced (fook-me) in Wales so i would go with that
you can say it ewan or yian or if you spell it Iouen you say it Yowan
i no 2 but 1 is 16 now and the other one is around 3 so i don’t think its vey popular not as much as the welsh names Kian or Dylan another nice welsh boys name is Reece maybe you could have Ieuan Reece?
hope this helps
