    Modernizing – New Words for new items, words of Basque/Welsh Origin not loan words
    - I don’t know about Welsh but Basque has done all of these things and more.
    konputagailu = Computer
    mugikor = Cell phone

    Free Lessons – So everyone has the chance to learn, any age
    It is an official language in el País Vasco and Navarra (España)
    so ANY document or contract you need can be received in Spanish or Basque by Law. They also have "Equal" status so many places have two names, one Spanish one Basque

    More Media – Television, Radio, Films are key to the survival of any language. 6 Basque channels (3 are Basque language only)
    Many films get subtitles in Basque.
    Even Yahoo News España has a section for Basque language news;

    But I don’t fully understand your question… why shouldn’t Basque be spoken… ? It was the official language even after Spain invaded… It was only since Franco and his language policies that the language started to be used less

    - In Basque they also created Batua, a fake language made up of all the Basque dialects. It is quite a simple language to learn, and speak. But it can sound very unnatural.
    Many people choose not to speak this at home or in public
    but %99 of all companies, websites, newspapers, television shows that use Basque. Use Batua

    Well as a Welsh speaker my answer will be similar to that of the Basque speaker both languages are comparable because they have similar speakership etc.

    In Wales all Governmental bodies and all officialdom is officially Bilingual where welsh appears first and therefore has an advantAGE, Also all children in Welsh schools must Learn welsh for 11 years. Also some 30% of Schools in Wales teach in Welsh only.

    The Language has tv stations and radio stations, Magazines, Newspapers, Internet sites such as facebook etc. Google translate etc etc.

    We also have new terms for certain things, Science and Mathematics are taught in Welsh. Computing is taught through welsh,

    Welsh is very much a viable language and has a lot of Pride based with it therefore alot of support.
