What does “heb dduw, heb ddim, duw a digon” mean?

My family crest has the words "heb dduw, heb ddim, duw a digon" written on it. It is Welsh and it means "Without God, Without anything. God and Enough." It does not seem to make any sense to me. Can anybody explain what this means?

This is a very religious thing. If you’re religious and give all you’ve got for God, God will always be there and give you anything that you dream of. But without God, that is, if you don’t believe in God, you will have nothing.
As near as I can tell, it means your family came from wales.
i think it could be interpreted as ‘without god you have nothing. if you have god, you have enough’ as in, you don’t need anything else.
My family too have this motto.
It would seem that many Welsh families have this motto (see Peer’s Peerage). Can anyone advise of its origin and hence its widespread use?
My father passed away in March 2010 and he has rquested that the words”Duw a digon” be placed on his grave stone. It is a religious thing, and means God enough, which can be interpreted as if you believe in God you will have “bywyd tragwyddol” everlasting life.
