What language are studying actually and why?
Hi.
Persons that often stay in this category know that I'm studying english (I hope to do better with it).
I have to do it for job becouse in Italy like a lot of nations in Europe we have english as a second language.
Ok, so , I saw here that many of you are studying polish, hindi, chinese, japanese, pakistani, welsh...
Why? Who is the reason of your choice? Is it for work or a simple pleasure?
Thank you in advance for the answer and for your patience on reading my bad english.
Please, if there are mistakes correct it.
Sorry TWK.

You dont have to apologize for your english. Its actualy quite good.
Im living and Spain right now and studying Spanish for job opportunities later in life. Im hoping to either work as a foreign service officer or in an international organization. Spanish just seemed like a great language to attempt for my first foreign language. I plan on moving on to french at some point in the future as it will also be of use later in life.
I definitely have a lot of respect for those who are attempting some more complicated languages just for the fun of it.
Latvian, because my wife is from there.
Mandarin Chinese because I have lots of friends there.
Welsh as my grand children speak it .Hungarian , for pleasure and to communicate when I visit
Studying French for pleasure and maybe for job opportunities later in life… I will be studying mandarin too, for pleasure
i love languages! =D
French- for pleasure.I have no real need for it, I just enjoy it.
Pakistani is NO language. Perhaps you mean Urdu…

I am studying Mandarin Chinese because it is very beneficial–China is rising to the top fast and many people are studying Mandarin.
It is a difficult language, but quite worth it I believe.
I’m studying it for school, I have to take a language in college even though I studied French in high school.
I am half French and half Chinese
.
Good luck with your English studies!
