where to learn more welsh?
I went to a welsh primary school but an english secondary school. In secondary we only had an hour of welsh once a week. And they put me in a class with people who didn't know welsh so i had to go back from the beginning to learning the colours, shapes, animals and all that when i already knew them. But iv left school now and i love speaking welsh to family and some friends who can but iv forgotten half of it. I speak welsh but add some english words in because iv forgot how to say some words. So is there anywhere i can learn welsh except going to college? Thankss

I’m currently taking an Open University Welsh course, although as this is beginners you might have to go over some basic stuff again. It costs around £400 but there is financial support available (I didn’t pay any course fees).
Coleg Gwent run various short residential courses. Their website is:
http://learnwelsh.coleggwent.ac.uk/. I’m not sure how much these cost.
Other than that, the BBC have some great resources for learning Welsh for all levels, (http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/learnwelsh/) and you can watch Welsh television with subtitles (English or Welsh) at http://www.s4c.co.uk

It is common for gaelic and welsh speakers to smatter the conversation with English. Often these days there is no word for it in the ‘old language’
Language will be lost if you do not practise it. Those with whom you talk should help to put you right on words.
However, if you are not speaking much, then you can still practise by translating anything and every time you get stuck on a word look it up.

English/Welsh dictionaries exist, so use them since it seems like you are at a stage where you can teach yourself.

There are 6 Welsh for Adults Centres covering all parts of Wales – contacts for all 6 here:

The Centres have courses at all levels and different times and intensity with a good geographic spread using community venues. There are also all sorts of informal learning/practice opportunities through this network.
